Mercedes 190E Cosworth 2.3-16V and 2.5-16V

In the end of 70's, Mercedes wanted to make 190E model on rally. British company named Cosworth agrees on cooperate. So they made 2 famous models . 190E cosworth is based on basic 190 model, but it has sport design, sport engine..it's all upgraded.

2.3 model

So, the model they made was upgraded 190E with 2.3-16V engine. Engine was M102,2.3 liter 16 valve. Engine made 185hp (136kW) at 6,200 rpm. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h was less than 8 sec and top speed was 230km/h.

2.5 model

In 1988 2.5 liter engine replaced 2.3 liter engine. There are2.5 liter engines with 204bhp (150kW) and 197bhp (147kW).
